I ordered six of these bottles with the hopes that they would live up to the glowing reviews. We noticed that our daughter was choking and coughing every time we used one of the ilo bottles. We finally realized it was the rate of flow from the nipple that was causing her to choke -- despite using a Stage 1 nipple the milk would literally squirt out of the bottle with force when turned upside down. We tested all of our nipples and this happened with 5/6. Super disappointed as I really wanted like these bottles.
The opening in the straw rips easily and causes it to leak
We went through Tommee Tippee, Avent natural, Nuk Simply Natural, Dr Brown wide neck and original, and MAM. These are our favorite. No extra pieces and less gas and no more spit up. Highly recommend trying! I'd compare it to Avent and Dr Brown having a baby named ilo!
I was originally using the advent soothie pacifiers but my infant couldn't seem to keep them in his mouth on his own. I tried these and it was like magic! He can keep them in his mouth perfectly! I bought 6 in total to keep all over the house and in his car seat! I love that there's a place to add a pacifier strap as well. I will recommend these to all my newborn mom friends! Also, the price point is great!
